Revenue Expenditure.

10.

Revenue Expenditure shall be divided into

Ordinary and extraordinary.

(a). Subject to the provisions of Article 13 Ordinary

Revenue Expenditure shall include all expenses

in respect of Staff, Executive and Administrative

together with the working and upkeep of Way and

Works, minor rail renewals, rolling stock, train

lighting and other charges as defined in the Code

of Procedure and included in the Estimates and

Accounts of Revenue Expenditure. Ordinary Revenue

Expenditure shall further include the cost of

new minor works on which less than a thousand

dollars is expended.

(b). Subject to the provisions of article 13 Extra-

-ordinary Revenue Expenditure shall include the

cost of renewals of rolling stock, girders,

rails, sleepers, turntables, weigh bridges and

equipment, alterations in sites and structures,

rebuilding of collapsed Bridges, except as here-

-inafter provided for, and the clearing away of

slips and washaways which cost more than $3,000.

Gross Receipts.

11.

Gross Receipts shall include all earnings

due to transportation of passengers and merchandize and the

carriage of mails, but shall not include any toll or rent for

such part of any works built by the Railway during the construc-

-tion thereof as is not included in the Capital Account thereof

The toll or rent for any such works, which have not been taken

into consideration in defining capital cost with a view to

assessment of constructive rates as defined in article 18 of

this Agreement shall be aforedit to the Section concerned.
